• Grinding or metal-on-metal sound when sliding: The roller bearings have worn through, and the steel wheel is now dragging on the aluminum track. This shaves metal off the track and eventually ruins it. Catch it early and it’s a roller swap; let it ride and you’re looking at track work too.
